Divine Appointment

Acts 26:16 “The Lord said, ‘I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen of Me and what I will show you.'”

I procrastinate scheduling my regular checkups with my doctor.  I find it inconvenient and put it off as long as possible. I dread the time wasted sitting in the doctor’s office waiting for the appointment to begin. Then once back in the exam room, I wait again. Finally, the doctor comes in and begins. He looks me over and tells me what I should do or should stop doing and then sends me on my way. I am usually healthy so I contemplate skipping this event each year. However, I understand it is necessary to keep track of my health.

How many of us treat our appointment with God in this matter? As shown in Acts 26:16 God calls us to be servants and witnesses for Christ. It is our Divine Appointment. It can feel inconvenient to interrupt our daily lives to serve God. Nevertheless, it is necessary for our own spiritual health and the spiritual health of millions around the world.

God has a Divine Appointment for each one of us. Take time to listen to Him and follow His directions. It might be a matter of life or death for someone

May the Lord Bless you and keep.
